The Estrie Regional Curling Association (ARCE) is a volunteer organization dedicated to building the health of its member curling centers and the sport of curling in the Estrie region. Our mission is to provide exposure to the sport of curling to people of all ages throughout the region and to support and offer assistance to our member curling centres so that they may prosper and grow.
The ARCE is made up of 12 individual curling centres and is one of 10 regional associations under the jurisdiction of Curling Québec. The ARCE is comprised primarily of centres in the eastern townships but also includes various centres located in the province's Centre-du-Québec and Montérégie regions.
Curling in the Estrie has a long and rich curling history with its oldest curling centre, Sherbrooke Curling Club, being founded in 1880. The region's curling centres are not only well known for their small and intimate curling facilities but also for their friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
The Board of Directors operates the association with each member curling centre being represented at general meetings of the ARCE by one or two representatives. The Board is comprised of 4 Directors, elected annually from among the 12 curling centres of the region. Board member positions include President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. Two other elected positions include Drawmaster and Junior Coordinator.
